In this game you are Nancy - young professionals to the original research group of Oklahoma tornadoes that faces some mysterious car problems. You join the group, which was struck by a number of failures, mainly related to failures of equipment, although there are many hints that suggest sabotage. And as the research team competes for the Grand Prize of $100 million, it is - the reason for the study.
In the role of a young specialist Nancy is trying to learn about the various members of the study group to figure just who would be responsible for all equipment problems. Each participant has their own particular motives and seek clarification of just who the offender is not no easy task. But even with all this secrecy and sabotage - not to mention the coming tornado - the story is rather thin and not so exciting as you would imagine. Instead of having to chase tornadoes and question witnesses, most of the time Nancy spent making housework. Party and a lot of work around the house.

Fortunately puzzles do experience much more enjoyable than it should be. To a large extent, each hard work leads to the puzzle and, except for a few duds, they - all challenging and fun. The game does not hold your hand when it comes to puzzles, so there is nothing in the way of hints. You get a short description of what needs to be done and that's it. This may be a slight interruption from time to time, as it can be easy to forget what exactly you need to do, but it is important to add some call experience.
Graphics and sounds in Trail of the Twister are the same as the rest of the game Nancy Drew, which is a good thing. The interface is easy to hold, characters and backgrounds look great, the controls are simple and very intuitive. In short, it is - Nancy Drew game. The only real extra gameplay wise - something that Nancy now have a vehicle to move, although it - easily the worst section of the game. Driving is incredibly frustrating, with free management tools that make it easy to crash into other cars and the deviation from the road. There is a damage meter and if you crash too much, this game is over. It would be much better and quicker if the game allows you to simply click where you want to go instead of having to move there.

But even with its somewhat rare main storyline and frustrating new leading sections, Trail of the Twister - still a solid addition to a number of Nancy Drew. The game features all the interesting characters, great staging dignity, and stimulating puzzles, which fans have grown to love, and wraps it in a fresh new settlement.
